Great game today from everyone who turned up. It was a strong side, with 14 players turning up. We played against Oxford Uni, who brought a large team of youthful, talented individuals. Nonetheless we held our own, with both teams playing pretty evenly. Gibbo got the first goal, with a flick over the keeper, bringing us up to 1-0 in the first half. Mid way through the second half, Oxford University sadly had a counter attack and scored from the top of the D. After that, neither team could put the ball into the back of the net to take home the win. Despite this, a solid performance from everyone!
MOM- Joe for some great saves and really keeping us in the game ! Also saving 3/4 consecutive short corners!!
Honourable mention to Milo for playing numerous positions on his debut.
DOD- Ollie K for not realising he was meant to be on the playing after HT, putting Wallingford to 10 men on the pitch...
A special thank you to Angus who was coaching and sorting out subs from the sideline in the first half.
